The show offers a variety of merchandise from vendors both new to the show and those who have been coming so long they can’t remember which year was his or her first.
Diane Shewmaker, of China Grove, fits into the latter category.
“Well,” she paused, thinking, “I do know that the first year was when Hurricane Hugo came.”
That would make her and her business, Lady Di’s Antiques, 22-year veterans of the show.
The vendor got into antiques dealing by accident. She accepted a job selling watches but was taken by the beautiful old rings, necklaces and cheap engagement rings brooches she saw.
